Where has the time gone?

Time has really flown by. The MN state fair has come and gone.  Lincoln will be 2 in two weeks!  It finally feels like fall in Minnesota.  Before you know it there will be trick-or-treaters running around. After that we will be in full swing holiday mode.  Here are some pictures of the little guy.  I will definitely post some pictures after his birthday but it may be a little slow going so I apologize in advance.  I do try to update to flickr regularly so please check that out if the website is behind (I tend to update youtube the same time that I do these website posts so that’s slow going too- sorry guys).  Dan has some amazing state fair pics on his flickr website.  You have to see them.  You’ll find some amazing pictures of Lincoln on there.  Love and miss you!

Conked out after a nice day at the fair. (If you look closely you can see his "farmer's tan" - from out many walks out and about and yes we do use sunscreen we just get out a lot.)

Doused by misters. There was such extreme heat at the fair this year that they installed misters. Lincoln loved them.

To continue with the state fair theme; below are just some of the cool things I loved about the state fair this year.

Love the vintage vehicles and other items at Heritage square. Have to pay homage since it will be different next year after they renovate the area.

Horse topiary. Every year they have some new kind of sculptures at the state fair.

Butter heads. Every year they crown a Princess Kay to be the dairy princess to represent and educate people about the dairy industry in MN. They carve her head and the heads of her court (the other contestants). It takes hours and the poor girls have to sit in this freezing cold booth while an artist sculpts their likeness out of butter.

We checked out the Illuminarium for the first time expecting Lincoln to love it. We were right. There are different sections that are illuminated by a specific color. It's nice and cool. It was such a relaxing experience. I probably could have fallen asleep in there if left to my own devices.

This is a split post since I am delinquent on posting the state fair stuff.  So here are some other pictures and videos of Lincoln.
